Hi my name is Deanna, I'm the owner of Refinery Salon & Co
and I'm so happy you found my page!
The team leader & owner of the Refinery Salon & Co. We are a team based chair rental hair salon, creating an environment of like-minded stylists that empower, respect + celebrate creativity in one another in our amazing space.
When you walk into the salon you always find a fully stocked snack bar with a few tasty teats, yummy coffee and tea options as well as some delicious wine or seasonal spiked seltzers.
I've been hair artist for 20 years and in the last 4 years a salon owner, I specializing IBE & NBR Hand Tied extensions as well as Great Lengths hair extensions, Jacques Dessaage french cutting technique, lived-in color, blondes, balayage, and long hair styling.
My love for hair extensions + continued education continues to grow year after year. whether its attending classes within my industry or with my business coach- Im all in 100%. This year may mission is to take my passion to new heights and hone into what truly makes
my soul happy- extensions and lived-in color.
I'm fueled by passion and expresso. I love to travel for education especially in the winter months. I enjoy going to Arizona and Southern California for most of my classes and where I get most of my hair color inspirations and techniques. Im a sucker for a effortless lived-in color that's not too over done and always timeless.
20 years into this business, and I couldn't imagine myself in any other career.
I have a 16 year old son Jamison, being his mom is one of the best things to ever happen to me. Like most teenage boys he has a busy life and I take every moment I can to "hang out" with him, we do a lot of travel for sports, and right now we are in the midst of college visits and helping him make his goal of playing college football a reality.
I've been married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for 15 years now- and I may have a story or two on the latest home or salon projects I've suckered him into. He's always such a good sport even when he has other plans.
The salon is my second favorite place, next to being home with my husband and my son. In the fall on Friday nights you will find me in the stands cheering on my favorite football payer #75. When I'm not at the salon I'm volunteering with the Kennedy Football support group as the food coordinator for the football team. In the summer if we are not at a football camp or college visit you can find us parked at the Rez with our camping friends soaking up the sun and relaxing. My husband and I enjoy going to breweries and sitting out on the patio trying the newest craft stout or sour and pairing it with yummy food.
A few random facts about me:
- I was born and raised in Northern California aka Wine Country
-I was a dental technician before I went to hair school and I was going to college for business management.
-We are huge Iowa Hawkeye fans so much that we named our 2 dogs Kinnick and Carver.
- I'm pretty handy with a sander and some paint there isn't much I won't attempt to refinish.
